Brisbane, Queensland

Brisbane itself may not have any natural beaches (because it’s on a river, a little inland from the ocean), but if want to feel like you’re at the beach simply head across the bridge from the city centre and into the neighbouring suburb of South Bank, only a 10 minute walk away!

Here you will find the beautiful South Bank Beach, which was made in 1992. With stunning views out over the Brisbane River and onto the edge of the city centre it’s a great place for swimming and relaxing. With lots of grass areas, tables, shops, gardens, and a large number of public BBQs all within a 2 minute walk you couldn’t ask for a nicer place to have a fun summer evening!
