Best time to find fruit picking work in Bowen

There are a number of different tropical fruits and vegetables grown in and around Bowen. The very best months to go are September to November when there is a lot of work to be found picking melons and tomatoes.

From May to August you can also often find work with the tomatoes. December is good for mangoes, and during the months of May to November, with a bit of luck you can find work in the vegetables fields.

However, the months of January to April should be avoided like the plague, it is highly unlikely you will find ANY work. Stay away during these months if you need work.
