Margaret River is one of Australia's premier wine areas and it produces some of the best wine that the country has to offer. Wines from this area often win medals at international wine competitions and exhibitions.
Margaret River only really grows grapes, for its wine industry. The peak season is February to April where these is generally a lot of work to be found.
You can also try your luck from June to August, however I highly recommend you try to secure a job before going, otherwise you may find that there is no work for you.

Apart from being a wine Mecca, Margaret River is also a popular tourist destination. As such there is a large range of accommodation options ranging hotels to caravan parks, and everything else in between.
Some of the vineyards may have limited accommodation for their workers, however you should check this before arriving. Not all vineyards will have accommodation options, and those that do generally only have a limited number of places available.
