The Sunshine Coast is a largish town/city located right near the coast of Queensland and has an approximate population of 47,000.

Its general postcode is 4510, which makes it an area eligible for backpackers and people wanting to come and work and travel Australia to extend their Working Holiday Visa to an Extended Working Holiday Visa. However, some farms are located in post code areas that are NOT eligible for a visa extension, so please check first if you want it to count.

It is located 113 km's to the north of Brisbane. The drive should take between 1.15 - 1.45 hours from Brisbane depending on the traffic conditions.

Best time to find fruit picking work in the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast grows a few different crops through out the year, although there is not any really busy peak season. It is highly unlikely you'll be able to find any work in December or January, however, with a little bit of luck you may be able to find work during most of the rest of the year.

I highly suggest you try to organise work before you go the Sunshine Coast, otherwise you might arrive and not be able to find any work.
